SPC Sunday Worship Services
WORSHIP at SPC happens at 9:30 am on Sundays.
WORSHIP AT SPC is a creative, reflective, and participatory experience. While we maintain a traditional flavor in many elements of the service, you never know what good surprises await you each Sunday!
Ralph Hooper, our music director, leads our unusually excellent choir in an eclectic array of musical offerings. Don Koc and Fulton Smith, our "DJ's", spin CD's during worship, as well, filling our sanctuary with bluegrass, folk, and pop tunes. Jill McCoy and Diane Jorgenson, professional designers, are our volunteers who create visual experiences on the altar that add to the messages and themes in worship. We use the Bible as well as the scriptures and teachings of other religions, as well as poetry and prose from secular sources that speak for spiritual experience. We're a progressive church, and that is reflected in the eclectic, un-dogmatic, often unorthodox nature of our worship service.
